Animal Farm
We just got done finishing the book Animal Farm it was a great book overall. It had extraordinary connections with the Russian Revolution and comparing it to animals. I thought it was cool how they can show that if you want to change something you need to stand up for yourself and not become the person that you took over. One thing that disappointed me was the ending and how it was a cliff hanger it would've been better if they told us what may have happened three years later.

Motivational Speaker.
Today we had a motivational speaker and he was very energetic and helped us with planning for our future and with ourselves. I think we should have him come visit our school each semester, not just to get out of class but to help with learning more about ourselves and help with school.

What I like or don't like about Old Mager is...
I like how he is deeply supportive of the farm animals and takes charge. He is a remarkably good leader in how he presents himself and the way he acts towards them. The speech he gave shows that he can get the point across and be wonderfully persuasive, the points that he gave made sense in how it seems that people just use the animals for what they need and not respect them at all. Another way that I like him is how he makes the animals feel empowered about them selves and feel like they can lead or take over the farmer. But there are some ways that I don't like him; for example, how the farmer can be mean and ruthless towards his animals but that doesn't mean that every single farm or farmer is like that. A farmer could be extraordinarily loving to his animals; such as, free range, livestock and domestic poultry, permitted to graze or forage rather than being confined to a feedlot. Which is a better way of life for the animals. There might even be farmers that don't sell the products in which their animal produces and just keeps them like a pet.
